Sensing Scanning and Machine Vision

Machine vision uses image capture and analysis to automate tasks such as inspection, counting, in addition to reading barcodes and optical characters (OCR). While human inspectors can visually inspect parts to judge the quality of workmanship, machine vision systems use advanced hardware and software components to perform these functions at higher speeds, reliably, and with greater precision.

3D Laser Scanning is a non-contact, non-destructive technology that digitally captures the shape of physical objects using a line of laser light. 3D laser scanners create “point clouds” of data from the surface of an object. In other words, 3D laser scanning is a way to capture a physical object’s exact size and shape into the computer world as a digital 3-dimensional representation. 3D Laser Scanning is used in numerous applications in mechanical dimension inspection, civil surveying, mining, urban topography, reverse engineering etc.
World Star Tech provides a line of self-contained, compact lasers for machine vision, scanning applications. They are available in a range of wavelength and power and provide excellent quality uniform, thin lines for optimum image resolution. Custom mechanical, electronic and optical configurations can be designed and manufactured on request. Please contact us with your specifications and requirements.
